For Sale: 1964 Studebaker Avanti R2 in Maple Lake, Minnesota for sale in Maple Lake, MN
Vehicle Description 1964 Avanti Sport Coupe.
0,8192 actual miles, not 108,102.
Just out of famous Studebaker estate.
We had to buy all 13 or none.
(3 Avanti, Golden Hawks, Power Hawks, etc).
Owner was 3M founder and CEO of fortune 500 company.
All numbers match of only 809 produced (can't find out how many were R2's like this one) with factory supercharger.
(289 CI and same 289 HP).
R1 had no superchargers and 49 less HP.
(only GR3's were made).
In 1963 4600 were made.
In 1964 only 809 made, so WOW 3791 less made than 1963!! 1964 was last year production for Studebaker-factory was shutting down.
Also 1964 was last year for factory superchargers and Studebaker Motors after 1964 the latter Avanti had Chevy 327's and molds were sold to different companies over next 20
years.
I haver her ready to repaint.
Original paint still on car, unders are totally dry and hog troughs are like new and original, no frame rust either.
Paint = Avanti Gold Metallic.
Interior is excellent, original (red codes) and out of car for best way to refinish.
Stock numbers match R2 motor (Code RS2270) on top of motor.
VIN on car (right front frame) R4021 same as on title.
Car was sold new in TX, we have pics of all data numbers, etc on body.
Motor rings strong, no smoke and supercharger works.

Power disc brakes, nice! 4.
Factory push button radio.

Super charger factory Paxton (Studebaker even owned Paxton at that time).
