Production Planner

The Production Planner's role is to create and maintain an efficient production schedule to ensure on-time delivery to valued customers; internally and externally.
The Production Planner will work alongside the Master Scheduler partnering with Production Supervisors to develop strategies to ensure the production and supply of finished goods achieve on-time shipments.
This is a possible temp to hire paying $50K - $60K/yr depending on experience.
DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
? Monitor the flow of products through the complete production cycle.
Provide timely planning, scheduling, and inventory levels for assigned brand to achieve both internal financial goals and customer delivery dates.
? Process production reporting entries to update inventory levels in MRP system.
? Develop run strategies that increase throughput while controlling inventory levels.
? Facilitate communication and action plans to resolve supply constraints and/or bottlenecks; assists in creating corrective action plans.
Collaborate and partner with internal departments to optimize scheduling.
Departments include:
Customer Service and Sales - communicate critical gaps and delivery constraints.
Communicate which orders are fulfilled and can ship.
Manufacturing Operations - learn and understand the rotational molding process todetermine which products can run together to set up an efficient schedule.
Warehouse team - develop attainable schedules and issue work orders to meetproduction needs.
Shipping - Communicate with orders are fulfilled and schedule the shipment on theshipping calendar.
Purchasing - ensure timely delivery of raw goods and components to allow enoughtime to produce products and ship to meet on-time delivery goals.
Use Integrated Quality Management Systems or google/Excel spreadsheets toto show current productions schedules.
